News from Schools: Palmdale City Council Honors Ed Trust Awardees

At the May 6 Palmdale City Council meeting, 17 students who won the GEAR UP Educational Trust Awards at Shadow Hills Intermediate School were honored with a Certificate of Achievement.  Each student also had a photo taken with Palmdale Mayor Jim Ledford.  Dan Schneider, Shadow Hills Leadership Team member and computer literacy/math teacher, assisted in the presentation and spoke about the GEAR UP program.
